On Sunday I attended a wedding in a remote village in Derbyshire, amidst horses and fields and snow. Lots of snow. It turned out to be the nicest wedding I have ever been to. We sang carols during the ceremony, ate a hog roast at the reception, had Santa make an appearance before playing a Christmas-themed pub quiz and drinking a lot of wine. Great day.

Bookmarks are getting full… I think it’s time to ditch some of it onto idreamelectric. Starting with Craig Ward‘s ‘You Blow Me Away’. I spent some time contemplating how this was done, but eventually came to the conclusion, who cares? Let’s just drink Valpolicella and stare at it for a while:

Noriko Ambe’s ‘Cutting Book Series’. You know the the deal here… Books + Scalpel = ace… ness. It’s simple idreamelectric maths:

…
More books… Chris Cobb has catergorised an entire library by colour. I can’t even begin to describe what that does to me. There is nothing wrong in this whole wide world:

Lastly, this man travels to interesting places, sets his camera timer to two seconds, and sees how far he can run in that time. Nothing more to say about that really:

Feel much better now.

i can’t believe i missed this… on Sunday night Venus, Jupiter and the moon joined forces to make a smiley face in the sky. (well, in some parts of the world – in the UK, by some stroke of cosmic brilliance, it formed a frowny face. but we can ignore this)

Perhaps I am judging a book by it’s cover, but Fashionable Technology: The Intersection of Design, Fashion, Science and Technology, by Sabine Seymore, looks simply amazing. The description on it’s press site is as follows:
“The interplay of electronic textiles and wearable technology, wearables for short, and fashion, design and science is a highly promising and topical subject. Offered here is a compact survey of the theory involved and an explanation of the role technology plays in a fabric or article of clothing”
Now the postman and I are going to play the waiting game…

here we go again. the clocks have gone back, the early darkness brings on the faint feeling of disorientation, and driving home from work requires a little extra concentration. still, aren’t the colours pretty?
